As part of a series of capacity-building and academic exchange activities among partner universities within the project \u201cForest Landscape Restoration and Sustainable Livelihoods in Bangladesh and Vietnam (FORSU),\u201d and at the invitation of Hue University, project staff from the FORSU-ERASMUS+ teams of Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry and Tay Nguyen University participated in the training workshop on \u201cEnhancing Capacity for Writing International Project Proposals\u201d from May 12 to May 16, 2025. The activity was organized by Hue University under the framework of the FORSU-ERASMUS+ project, funded by the European Union through the ERASMUS+ program, and implemented by Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry, the University of Helsinki (Finland), the University of Freiburg (Germany), and several partner universities in Vietnam and Bangladesh.<\/p>\n

In his opening remarks, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Xuan Huy, Deputy Head of the Department of Science, Technology and International Relations \u2013 Hue University, warmly welcomed all participants and expressed his hope that the workshop would contribute to enhancing project proposal writing skills for staff members, thereby opening up opportunities for collaboration and attracting funding from the ERASMUS+ program during the 2025\u20132030 period.<\/p>\n

The workshop covered a range of in-depth topics such as: an overview of the Erasmus+ program and other potential funding sources for international project proposals, steps to develop a project proposal, methods for building objectives\u2013activities\u2013outcomes frameworks, budgeting techniques, and methods for analyzing sustainability, impact, and project feedback mechanisms.<\/p>\n

In addition to theoretical and practical sessions, participants also took part in a field visit to Bach Ma National Park to better understand the socio-ecological context aligned with the sustainable development goals of the FORSU-ERASMUS+ project.<\/p>\n

ERASMUS+ is one of the European Union\u2019s flagship programs in education, training, youth, and sports. Participation in specialized training activities such as this not only helps Vietnamese higher education institutions enhance their skills in writing international project proposals, but also promotes academic cooperation, research, and sustainable development both regionally and globally.<\/p>\n
