The star apple trees sold by the center are grafted trees, ensuring early fruiting within two years of planting. These trees produce abundant, larger, and sweeter fruits compared to common varieties.

Morphological Characteristics:
The star apple is a woody tree that can grow up to 15-20m tall. Its leaves are evergreen, alternately arranged, oval-shaped, with smooth edges, and measure 5-15 cm in length. The underside of the leaves has a glossy, golden appearance when viewed from a distance. The small flowers are white with a purplish tint and have a pleasant fragrance. This is a hermaphroditic species (self-pollinating). The round fruits have a purple or greenish-brown rind when ripe, with a characteristic star-shaped pattern in the pulp. The seeds are flat, light brown, and hard. The tree bears fruit year-round after reaching at least seven years of age.

2.
