{"id":2141,"date":"2024-06-24T17:15:59","date_gmt":"2024-06-24T10:15:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ifs.edu.vn\/?p=2141"},"modified":"2025-03-29T14:21:25","modified_gmt":"2025-03-29T07:21:25","slug":"seminar-on-sharing-results-of-research-on-technical-solutions-for-climate-change-adaptation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ifs.edu.vn\/?p=2141&lang=en","title":{"rendered":"Seminar on &#8220;Sharing Results of Research on Technical Solutions for Climate Change Adaptation&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"0\" data-end=\"425\">On May 23, 2024, the &#8220;Learning Center for Emission Neutrality and Climate Resilience in Northern Vietnam&#8221; (LEARN-VN Project) organized a seminar on &#8220;Sharing Results of Research on Technical Solutions for Climate Change Adaptation.&#8221; The seminar aimed to objectively assess the relevance of various technical solutions for climate change adaptation (CCA), with the participation and contributions of approximately 40 delegates.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"427\" data-end=\"797\">Prof. Dr. Nguy\u1ec5n Th\u1ebf H\u00f9ng, Chairman of the Council of Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry (TUAF), welcomed the delegates and expressed his hope that they would provide high-quality evaluations to contribute to the development of the climate learning center. This initiative aligns with Vietnam\u2019s commitment at COP-26 to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"799\" data-end=\"1075\">Following an introduction to the LEARN-VN Project and the Climate Park by Dr. Nguy\u1ec5n Quang T\u00e2n, National Coordinator of the World Agroforestry (ICRAF) organization in Vietnam, the delegates listened to presentations from the LEARN-VN project team. These presentations covered:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1076\" data-end=\"1404\">\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"1076\" data-end=\"1148\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1078\" data-end=\"1148\">A framework for reviewing CCA models\/solutions across various sectors,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"1149\" data-end=\"1215\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1151\" data-end=\"1215\">Results of the review on land use and forestry models\/solutions,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"1216\" data-end=\"1267\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1218\" data-end=\"1267\">Models\/solutions in agriculture and agroforestry,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"1268\" data-end=\"1308\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1270\" data-end=\"1308\">Models\/solutions in the energy sector,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"1309\" data-end=\"1349\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1311\" data-end=\"1349\">Models\/solutions for waste management,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"1350\" data-end=\"1404\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1352\" data-end=\"1404\">Models\/solutions for water and green infrastructure.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1406\" data-end=\"1789\">Additionally, the project team highlighted research gaps in climate change and introduced the criteria for evaluating these models\/solutions. Delegates participated in group discussions to assess the models\/solutions based on these criteria and provided various insights to help the LEARN-VN team consolidate the findings into a comprehensive picture.
