I. GENERAL INTRODUCTION<\/span><\/h2>\n

    The Institute of Forestry Research and Development is a scientific and technological organization under the University of Agriculture and Forestry. It was established under Decision No. 87\/Q\u0110-\u0110HTN on January 16, 2015, by the Director of Thai Nguyen University, based on the transformation and upgrade of the Northern Mountainous Forestry Research Center.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    The Institute has legal status, its own bank account, and seal, and operates autonomously in financial matters, following Government Decree No. 115\/N\u0110-CP.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    II. FUNCTIONS AND TASKS<\/span><\/h2>\n

    2.1. Functions<\/span><\/h3>\n

    The Institute has five main functions:<\/span><\/p>\n

    1. \n

      Conducting specialized scientific research, including applied sciences;<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    2. \n

      Transferring scientific and technological knowledge;<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    3. \n

      Supporting undergraduate and postgraduate training programs;<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    4. \n

      Participating in postgraduate education;<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    5. \n

      Engaging in international cooperation across all areas of the Institute\u2019s activities.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      2.2. Tasks<\/span><\/h3>\n

        Developing the Institute into a research center in forestry, natural resources, and the environment to serve research, scientific and technological transfer, and training under the University of Agriculture and Forestry \u2013 Thai Nguyen University.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        Implementing scientific research and technology transfer activities in forestry, natural resources, and the environment, contributing to the advancement of science and technology in the region and supporting socio-economic development nationwide, particularly in mountainous provinces.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                  3.2. Organizational Chart<\/span><\/h3>\n

                  The organizational structure of the Institute of Forestry Research and Development includes the Scientific Council, the Leadership Board, specialized departments, and the Experimental Station. The relationship between the Scientific Council, the Leadership Board, specialized departments, and the Experimental Station is outlined in the organizational chart.<\/span><\/p>\n

                    Functions and tasks<\/strong>: Advises the Institute’s leadership on developing medium- and long-term strategies, training, technology transfer, production, business, and consulting services in all fields of activity.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

                  • \n

                    Structure<\/strong>: The Scientific Council consists of 18-20 experts, including professors, associate professors, and leading PhDs in various fields. The Council has specialized subcommittees in specific fields of activity.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                            Functions and tasks<\/strong>: Assists the leadership in planning and implementing scientific research activities, managing research projects and technology programs, cooperating with domestic and international organizations, and organizing training and practical internship programs.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

                                Son Duong Experimental Station<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

                                  Manages and implements research, technology transfer, and production activities on a 139-hectare site in Son Duong District and operates a nursery system in Tuyen Quang Province.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
