Grapes grow in clusters of 6 to 300 grapes, they are black, blue, yellow, green, red-purple or white. When ripe, grapes can be eaten fresh or dried to make raisins, as well as used to produce wines, grape jelly, and fruit juice.
Grapes are a very healthy fruit. Grapes contain ingredients that prevent oxidation to help improve the cardiovascular system and prevent strokes.

2. Planting techniques

* Planting season: Dry season from November to April, with high humidity (this is the suitable season for growing main crop grapes) and rainy season from May to October.

* How to plant

Soil: green grapes are suitable for sandy soil, hot sun, especially sandy soil with PH = 5.5 to 7.5, high ground, not flooded, good drainage.

*Planting density:

Rows are 2.5m apart, plants are 1.5 to 2m apart.

* Care techniques

– Watering: On sunny days, water every 4-5 days, do not let the soil dry out. When it rains for a long time, the water must be drained quickly to avoid flooding the grapes.

– Create a trellis for green grapes: The height of the trellis is about 1.8 – 2m for ease of movement and care. Choose the strongest top and tie it to a stake for the grapes to climb up the trellis. The remaining tops or branches need to be cut off. When the top of the main stem has climbed 20-30cm above the trellis, cut off the main stem (located below the ash), the vine will grow many new branches – level 1 branches. Each vine only leaves 2-4 branches. Level 1 depends on the variety and is arranged later to distribute evenly in all directions. When the level 1 branches are about 0.8-1m long, cut the tops to grow secondary branches – fruit branches, each level 1 branch has 10-20 level 2 branches depending on the variety and planting density. Level 1 and level 2 branches need to be tied tightly to the trellis to avoid wind from tearing the leaves, losing eyes, and to avoid letting the branches overlap each other. The ropes to fix the branches to the trellis use biodegradable types such as banana sheath ropes…

– Fertilizing to care for green grapes: After harvest: Loosen the soil to break up the scum, apply 10-20 tons of decomposed organic fertilizer + 200 -400 kg of Dau Trau AT1 or NPK 12-7-17 + TE Dau Trau/ha. Spray foliar fertilizer Dau Trau 005, periodically every 7-10 days. Before cutting branches: 100-300 kg of AT2 Buffalo Head or multi-purpose Buffalo Head (NPK 17-12-7 + TE)/ha. Spray Dau Trau 007 foliar fertilizer 2-3 times, every 5-7 days. After fruit set (fruit the size of a pepper): 15-350 kg of Buffalo Head AT3 or NPK 20-10-15 + TE Buffalo Head/ha. Spray foliar fertilizer Dau Trau 009, periodically every 7-10 days. When the fruit is large (fruit the size of a peanut): 200-400 kg of Buffalo Head AT3 or NPK 20-10-15 + TE Buffalo Head/ha. Spray foliar fertilizer Dau Trau 009 or 907, periodically every 7-10 days. Stop spraying 10 days before harvest.

– Flower treatment: About 10-12 months after planting, when the secondary branches have turned woody, brown, and eyes are clearly visible, proceed to leave fruit by cutting off all existing branches and leaves, leaving only fruit branches and sprouts. stored at the base of fruit branches (after fruit next season). For big, strong branches longer than 1m, cut branches at the 6th – 8th node position, small, short branches are cut at the 1st – 2nd node position to create nutritious branches for the next harvest.

– Prevent pests and diseases

Pests: When growing green grapes, one thing to keep in mind is that grape worms are very toxic, so pesticides must be sprayed once a year to avoid pests from harming the plants as well as our own health. Usually carried out 3-2 months before harvest, avoiding flowering time because it will affect the pollination process. Besides, garden cleaning is also very important. Regularly remove trash and dry leaves to keep the garden clean to avoid hiding places for pests and harmful organisms.

*Harvest

Choose bunches of grapes that are ripe enough and have enough time to isolate pesticides. When harvesting grape bunches, you need to have long stems for convenient handling, storage and packaging. Use scissors or a knife to cut the long stems of the bunches. leave the vine. Wash the bunch of grapes with clean water 3-4 times to remove all dust, dry leaves, and foreign objects stuck in the bunch of grapes, if any. Hang and hang the bunch of grapes on a rack to drain. You can use a fan to dry the water quickly.

*Preserve

Dip a bunch of grapes into a 10g/liter calcium chloride solution for 3 minutes.

Pick up a bunch of grapes and hang them on a wind rack to dry, then pack them into a hard paper box with small cells designed to prevent heavy weight and impact. Using the above methods will ensure that the grapes do not have toxic chemical residues. harmful and can preserve fresh grapes for up to 20 days.

GROWING TECHNIQUES OF GREEN VINES 1.Variety description: Green grapes are a type of berry.
