CORDYCEPS MUSHROOM PRODUCTS
Developed under the national-level project “Application of Science and Technology in the Production of Cordyceps militaris on Brown Rice Substrates and Other Hosts in Ha Giang Province,” scientists from the Vietnam Academy of Agricultural Genetics, the Institute of Forestry and Sustainable Development, and the Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry have successfully brought laboratory innovation into the mountainous communities of northern Viet Nam.
From clean brown rice, locally sourced materials, and advanced cultivation technology, tiny fungal strands gradually develop into high-quality Cordyceps mushrooms with exceptional medicinal value, carrying the unique identity of the Ha Giang highlands. More than just a scientific product, this is a story of collaboration between research institutions, technology transfer, and the aspiration to improve local livelihoods. The project has continued to be commercialized and expanded nationwide by Vietnam Agriculture Forestry and Environment Development Joint Stock Company.
Today, each jar of Cordyceps contains not only the essence of nature, but also the result of a persistent journey shared by scientists, universities, and local communities — contributing to the development of high-tech, green, and sustainable agriculture in the northern mountainous regions of Viet Nam.
Cordyceps contains two particularly important bioactive compounds: Cordycepin and Adenosine.
- Cordycepin has been reported to help inhibit the growth of tumors and abnormal cells, contributing to cancer prevention research.
- Adenosine is an essential component in the structure of DNA and RNA molecules and plays a vital role in the body’s metabolic processes.
In addition, scientific studies have identified 17 amino acids, multiple vitamin groups, essential minerals, and trace elements within Cordyceps. For this reason, Cordyceps is widely regarded as one of nature’s most precious medicinal treasures.
