As part of his working trip to Ha Giang, on the afternoon of March 21, Mr. Truong Tan Sang, former President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, visited the nursery for forestry, fruit, and medicinal plants of Vietnam Agriculture, Forestry, and Environment Development Joint Stock Company, located in Vi Xuyen District.
Accompanying him were Mr. Dang Quoc Khanh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the 14th National Assembly Delegation for Ha Giang; Mr. Thao Hong Son, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council; Mr. Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; Mr. Nguyen Manh Dung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Hoang Gia Long, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; and leaders of Bac Me and Vi Xuyen districts.
Vietnam Agriculture, Forestry, and Environment Development Joint Stock Company was established in 2016 and is one of the units receiving technology transfer from key programs and research projects of the Institute for Forestry Research and Development. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Thu Ha – Director of the Institute for Forestry Research and Development – introduced the former President to the scientific and technological achievements of the Institute and the Company, as well as the valuable medicinal plant species being researched and preserved at the nursery.

During his visit to the nursery in Vi Xuyen District, former President Truong Tan Sang highly appreciated the company’s efforts in propagating and preserving indigenous medicinal plant species of Ha Giang. He expressed his hope that the company would continue to expand its investment activities and strengthen partnerships with local farmers in medicinal plant production, contributing to job creation and income improvement for the local community.
