On the afternoon of December 28, 2016, Mr. Le Minh Hung, Deputy Director of the Quang Nam Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, along with the Thai Nguyen Farmers’ Union delegation, visited the production models at the Institute of Forestry Research and Development. The delegation was welcomed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Van Dien – Party Secretary and Rector of the University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Thu Ha – Director of the Institute, and specialized department staff.

The delegation toured various production models at the Institute, including:

• The tissue culture laboratory

• The seedling nursery

• The variety testing area

• The seed forest

• Intensive afforestation models

• Several medicinal plant cultivation models

At the end of the visit, Deputy Director Le Minh Hung and the Thai Nguyen Farmers’ Union delegation highly appreciated the Institute’s achievements in in-vitro propagation and seedling production systems. The parties discussed cooperation programs for 2017, focusing on upcoming projects within the collaboration framework with Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry.
