With the approval of the Party Committee of Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry, the First Party Congress of the Northern Mountainous Forestry Research Center for the 2012–2015 term was held at 8:30 AM on December 24, 2012, at the Center’s office. Attending the congress were Comrade Nguyễn Ngọc Nông – Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice Rector of Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry; Comrade Nguyễn Văn Mạn – Deputy Secretary of the Party Cell and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Forestry; along with all Party members and outstanding staff members of the Northern Mountainous Forestry Research Center.

Following a solemn flag-raising ceremony, the congress listened to Comrade Trần Thị Thu Hà – Interim Secretary of the Center’s Party Cell – present a summary report on the Party Cell’s activities for the 2010–2012 term and the orientations and tasks for the 2012–2015 term.

The Congress also heard a directive speech from Comrade Nguyễn Ngọc Nông. In his address, he emphasized and acknowledged the achievements in both Party and professional work at the Center. He expressed his expectations that, in the upcoming term, the Party Cell would continue to improve its professional performance, contributing to the development of diverse and rich forestry models. He highly appreciated the dynamism and creativity of the Center’s staff, especially the Center Director, who has made great efforts to build the Center’s current success.

The Congress devoted considerable time to discussion and contributions to the summary report on Party Cell activities for the 2010–2012 term and the orientations and tasks for the 2012–2015 term. Most comments focused on supplementing the new term’s direction and proposing solutions to overcome the limitations of the previous term.

With a spirit of seriousness, democracy, and consensus, the Congress held a secret ballot to elect the Party Cell Secretary. Receiving 100% of the votes, Comrade Trần Thị Thu Hà was elected Secretary of the Northern Mountainous Forestry Research Center Party Cell for the 2012–2015 term.

In her acceptance speech, Comrade Trần Thị Thu Hà expressed her gratitude for the trust placed in her by the Congress and affirmed her determination to fulfill the responsibilities of Party Cell Secretary for the 2012–2015 term. She sincerely thanked the Party Committee of Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry for their attention and leadership. On behalf of the Party Cell, she committed to successfully implementing the Congress resolution for the 2012–2015 term.

The Congress concluded successfully at 11:30 AM the same day.
