On the morning of March 27, 2025, representatives from the Institute of Forestry and Sustainable Development (University of Agriculture and Forestry – Thai Nguyen University) held a working session with representatives from the Center for Research and Development of Mountainous Livestock (Institute of Animal Science – Ministry of Agriculture and Environment) to discuss plans for grass planting within the Climate Park under the LEARN-VN project.
During the meeting, representatives from both sides exchanged ideas on selecting appropriate grass species for different areas of the park.
Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Thu Ha, Director of the Institute of Forestry and Sustainable Development, shared her insights and specific expectations regarding grass planting in the park. She emphasized the importance of choosing drought-resistant or water-tolerant grass species. According to Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Thu Ha, selecting the right grass species is crucial to ensuring resilience under extreme climate conditions caused by climate change. Additionally, the grass should contribute to the food chain for the park’s wildlife and support biodiversity restoration in the area.
