On the afternoon of March 6, 2025, 150 11th-grade students from Ngo Quyen High School (Thai Nguyen City) participated in an outdoor field trip at the Climate Park, under the Institute of Forestry and Sustainable Development (IFS) at Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry – Thai Nguyen University.
During the visit, the students had the opportunity to learn about the Learning Center for Emission Neutrality and Climate Resilience in Northern Vietnam (LEARN-VN) project. They also explored the Climate Park, which features practical models such as forest restoration, sustainable forests, home gardens, agroforestry, and low-emission rice farming. These models emphasize the role of demonstration projects in mitigating and adapting to climate change.
The trip not only sparked students’ interest in scientific activities related to the environment but also raised their awareness of climate change. It helped them gain a deeper understanding of sustainable agricultural and forestry solutions for adapting to shifting climate conditions while promoting biodiversity conservation to protect ecosystems from adverse climate impacts.
