As part of the “Enhancing Climate Change Education for Sustainable Development in Vietnam” (Clidev) project, Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry (TUAF) collaborated with Hue University of Agriculture and Forestry to organize a training session on the Moodle/MOOCs online teaching platform from July 7-8, 2024.

The training was attended by Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Thu Ha (Project Director), Dr. Dinh Tien Tai, and MSc. Thuc Phuc from Hue University of Agriculture and Forestry, along with 40 lecturers and 40 students from faculties such as Forestry, Agronomy, and the Institute of Biotechnology & Food Technology. The lecturers provided thorough guidance on knowledge and skills related to using Moodle, creating online lessons, managing classes, producing video lectures, and designing quizzes for the participating lecturers. For the students, they were introduced to the basics of the Moodle platform, including how to use the platform to join classes, participate in assessments, and complete course evaluations.

Through this training session, participants exchanged expertise on managing and developing online classes, and strengthened cooperation among different units within the university. After the training, the participants are expected to share the knowledge with their colleagues and recommend the university expand the application of online teaching, as well as organize similar training sessions to enhance the quality and capacity of online education in the future.
