As part of the “Enhancing Climate Change Education for Sustainable Development in Vietnam” (Clidev) project, Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry (TUAF) collaborated with Hue University of Agriculture and Forestry to organize an intensive training course on the Moodle and MOOCs online teaching platform. The training took place over two days, from August 6th to 7th, 2024, aiming to enhance the online teaching capacity of TUAF lecturers.
The training course attracted over 80 lecturers from various faculties and departments of TUAF. The participants received detailed instruction on how to use the Moodle platform to create and manage online courses, and they were introduced to effective methods for building MOOCs. Additionally, the course provided essential skills for designing creative teaching content, integrating information technology into teaching, and creating interactive learning activities to encourage student engagement.
This training course was not only a significant step in improving the teaching quality at TUAF but also contributed to achieving the goals of the Clidev project, which aims to integrate climate change education into the curriculum and sustainable development in Vietnam. The success of the course marks a substantial advancement in the application of modern educational technology at universities and lays the foundation for expanding and implementing online education programs in the future.
