In addition, experts guided commune representatives on how to develop weather scenarios affecting crops in upcoming growth phases (based on the cycles of key crops) and discussed different forecast scenarios with farmers. This is a foundational step in helping commune groups shape climate bulletins, determine effective communication methods with the community, and design post-implementation monitoring and evaluation mechanisms. Experts and local representatives also agreed on a detailed plan for the next round of discussions and the process of rolling out activities at the commune level.
The workshop on “Building a Network for Implementing Agricultural Climate Services (ACIS) in Thai Nguyen” concluded successfully, laying a solid foundation for establishing a well-coordinated network between specialized units and local communities. The agreed-upon content not only contributes to enhancing climate change adaptation capacity in agricultural production but also offers practical and effective methods for developing agricultural climate bulletins for project-area residents. This marks an important starting point in the journey toward building a sustainable climate service system to ensure the stable development of agriculture in Thai Nguyen in the future./.
