On April 3, 2025, the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation between the Institute of Forestry and Sustainable Development (University of Agriculture and Forestry – Thai Nguyen University) and related units took place, focusing on research and application of rare earth trace element technology, nanotechnology, and radiation technology.
Accordingly, the Vietnam Association of Natural Products Sciences (VANPS), the Institute of Rare Radiation Technology, the Institute of Forestry and Sustainable Development, and HAMINT Science and Technology Joint Stock Company, after a period of discussion, have agreed to cooperate with the common goal of promoting research and application of rare earth trace element technology, nanotechnology, and radiation to enhance the value and efficiency of natural products. The aim is to develop high-quality products for the pharmaceutical sector, health-protecting functional foods, and climate-resilient agricultural and forestry crop cultivation.
The cooperation will be carried out through the implementation of joint research projects, technology trials, production process transfer, human resource training, and product development support for the market.
The scope of cooperation includes research and application of rare earth trace element technology, nanotechnology, and radiation technology in:
Producing environmentally friendly preparations used as growth stimulants, plant protection agents, and supplements for root and foliar fertilizers.
Researching and developing the application of rare earth trace elements in the tissue culture of medicinal plants to enhance biological activity.
Developing optimized procedures, conducting quality control, and evaluating product effectiveness after applying rare earth trace element technology, nanotechnology, and radiation.
Collaborating with enterprises for practical application and commercialization of products.
The Memorandum of Understanding is valid for five years from the date of signing.
