On the morning of September 21, 2016, the working delegation from the People’s Committee of Quang Nam Province visited and held a working session at Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry (TUAF) and the Institute of Forestry Research and Development (IFRD). The delegation was welcomed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Van Dien, Party Secretary and Rector of TUAF. Representing IFRD was Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Thu Ha, Director of IFRD, along with leaders from various departments within the institute.

During the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Thu Ha introduced the delegation to the institute’s strengths in training, scientific research, technology transfer, and international cooperation. Mr. Huynh Tan Duc, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Quang Nam Province and head of the delegation, also provided an overview of the natural conditions, geography, potential, strengths, and the province’s efforts in economic, social, and agricultural development.

Additionally, both parties engaged in discussions on potential collaboration, particularly regarding medicinal plant planning, forest zoning in Quang Nam, and cooperation in scientific and technological transfer.

By the end of the session, the Quang Nam delegation and IFRD had established the foundation for a long-term and sustainable partnership.
