On the morning of June 5, 2015, a delegation from the Quang Nam Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, consisting of 5 delegates and led by Mr. Huynh Tan Duc – Director of the Department, along with leaders from the Forest Protection Sub-Department, the Forestry Sub-Department, and the Sao La Nature Reserve, visited and worked with the Institute of Forestry Research and Development to explore its production models.

During the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Thu Ha – Director of the Institute of Forestry Research and Development – introduced the Institute’s formation, development process, and achievements. The delegation was also introduced to the Institute’s high-tech tissue culture products, including Morinda officinalis, Eucalyptus, Banana, Polyscias fruticosa, Zingiber zerumbet, Paphiopedilum, Anoectochilus setaceus, Curcuma zedoaria, Melia azedarach, and more.

Following the introduction, the delegation toured the Institute’s production models, such as the tissue culture laboratory, seedling nursery, variety trial area, seed orchard, intensive afforestation model, and several models of medicinal plant cultivation.

At the end of the visit, Director Huynh Tan Duc and the delegation highly appreciated the results of the Institute’s production models, and both sides agreed to collaborate in future programs and projects.
