On the morning of June 13, 2015, during a visit and working session at the University of Agriculture and Forestry – Thai Nguyen University, Associate Professor Dr. Tran Van Dien – Party Committee Secretary – Rector of the University, led Deputy Minister Tran Thanh Nam and accompanying officials on a tour of the plant tissue culture production model at the Research and Development Institute of Forestry under the University of Agriculture and Forestry, Thai Nguyen.
Accompanying the Deputy Minister were leaders from the Ministry Office, the General Department of Forestry, the General Department of Fisheries, the Department of Personnel Organization, the Department of Planning, the Department of Finance, the Department of Science, Technology and Environment, the Department of Crop Production, the Department of Livestock Production, the Department of Animal Health, the Department of Cooperative Economy and Rural Development, the National Agricultural Extension Center, and the Northern Mountainous Agriculture and Forestry Science Institute.
Deputy Minister Tran Thanh Nam visited the institute’s plant tissue culture room.
Concluding the visit, Deputy Minister Tran Thanh Nam and the working delegation highly appreciated the institute’s production model. The Deputy Minister also suggested that the institute continue to leverage its capabilities to become one of the leading units in the field of forestry seedling production as well as non-timber forest products.
