From June 3 to June 7, 2024, lecturers and researchers from Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry participated in an academic exchange and capacity-building event with the University of Freiburg, Germany. This activity was conducted within the framework of the project “Higher Education Cooperation for Forest Landscape Restoration and Sustainable Development in Bangladesh and Vietnam (FORSU-ERASMUS+).”

The event brought together lecturers and researchers from partner universities in Bangladesh (Patuakhali Science and Technology University, Rangamati Science and Technology University) and Vietnam (Tay Nguyen University, Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry).

The event facilitated connections among universities and experts in Forestry, Environment, and Climate Change from Germany, Vietnam, and Bangladesh, promoting knowledge exchange, teaching skills enhancement, and opening new opportunities for collaboration. These partnerships extend beyond the FORSU project, aiming for strategic and long-term cooperation in the future.

Within the FORSU project, lecturers and researchers from partner universities in Bangladesh (Patuakhali Science and Technology University, Rangamati Science and Technology University) and Vietnam (Tay Nguyen University, Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry) will have the opportunity to engage in valuable academic exchange programs at the University of Freiburg (Germany) and the University of Helsinki (Finland).

This initiative aligns with Objective 6 of the FORSU project, promoting North-South-South cooperation, improving the quality of teaching and training, and facilitating academic networking and exchange in the field of forest landscape restoration.
