From July 16-18, 2024, a delegation from Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry (TUAF) conducted a study visit and experience exchange on designing and operating online courses (MOOCs) at Hue University. The visit was part of the “Enhancing Climate Change Education for Sustainable Development in Vietnam” (CLIDEV) project. The delegation was led by Dr. Nguyen Chi Hieu, Vice-Rector of TUAF, along with staff and lecturers from the university.

The MOODLE and MOOCs platforms are notable for their ability to provide easy access to education, reduce costs, and offer a wide range of diverse courses. These platforms not only facilitate interaction but also keep learners updated with the latest knowledge and develop self-study skills. MOODLE and MOOCs expand international learning opportunities and support personalized learning paths.

The delegation also discussed challenges and difficulties and consulted on specific solutions drawn from the valuable experiences of their counterparts. The goal was to address common issues in student management and infrastructure development when applying MOODLE and MOOCs, with the aim of implementing E-learning at TUAF.
